Dear Partners in Ministry,
Greetings brothers and sisters in the name of the One who created, claims, and redeems us! UCM is leading a city-wide weekly youth ministry guided by UCM staff but led by our talented college students.
The M.Y. Ministry model was created for churches who are looking to offer a weekly youth program that brings churches' high school youth groups together for Christian fellowship, service, and learning. No matter if your church has two or 30 youth, M.Y. ministry is striving to be the body of Christ for high school youth.
We meet on Sundays from 3 pm to 5 pm at United Campus Ministry (1239 12th St. N, Fargo). Our time together is in three parts:
1. Welcome and introduction time to unwind with fellowship, games, and much laughter
2. Worship and Teaching led by the youth pastors that offer guidance while using multi-media to interpret our weekly Bible Scripture.
3. Small group meeting time (at least 30 min each week) for the individual church’s youth to have time to share, plan, and find ways to be in ministry in their local churches.
If your church is interested in being a part of M.Y. (Metro Youth) Senior High Ministry, please contact Pastor Theta at revtheta@fmucm.org. We are asking partner churches to donate $250.00 a semester ($500 a year) to help with community service opportunities, food, prizes, off-site fun days, and staffing.
If your church would like to have a college student from our ministry work at your church on Sun. mornings and help with M.Y. on Sunday afternoons, please let Rev. Theta know this as well.
